In the case of Type 2 diabetes, what chemical imbalances in the body causes fatigue? What are the causes for the calf and shoulder muscles to ache? Are there natural supplements to correct these imbalances?

  1. Laura B Says:

Fatigue in diabetics is caused by high blood sugar. Here’s the science of it: When you are diabetic, the cells in your body can’t absorb the sugar either b/c you don’t make any insulin or your body doesn’t use the insulin efficiently. Insulin is the catalyst that allows your cells to absorb the sugar. What makes you tired is that the cells that aren’t absorbing the sugar are starving from the lack of sugar and they put off toxins called Ketones. You can test the amount of Ketones your spilling by testing your urine.

I don’t think diabetes has to do with calf and shoulder pain. There is pain associated with diabetics called neuropathy but that is mostly in your hands and feet. The only natural supplement that has worked for me helped with my blood sugar is Cinnamon capsules.
