Are you very thirsty?
Do you urinate quite often? Getting up in the middle of the night to urinate?

The doctor will draw some blood. From that he can tell if you need pills, insulin or nothing at all.

This takes only a few minutes but is well worth your time.

Are there any other problems, besides bruising, that you have? That can be a symptom of other problems.

The chances are higher if you had it during your 2nd and 3rd pregnancys. I have never had it and now with my 3rd pregnancy I am borderline. I would start watching what you eat very early so it will reduce your chances of having to take shots or anything.

How come you don't want to take it?! Either way, I didn't take it with my 2nd child. Nothing bad happened. Its your body, and I believe you have the right not to take it. I could be wrong, since your pregnant, but thats my thoughts.

Why shun known medical cures that God gave us the ability to learn and know about..That has got to be the most "natural" of all..there are no actual cures for these afflictions you have mentioned, but treatments that diminish problems and side effects and allow life as usual when followed...If Kevin is just beating around the bush in his book..there must not be much to tell ....What we hear about as far as natural remedies and cures, etc..mostly deal with medicine in other cultures and times....what was their life expectancy compared to ours?
Just a few thoughts...I have no experience or documentation, just off the cuff observations, so will accept any criticism/more informed comments!

It doesn't really matter if anyone in your family has ever had it before, you can still have it. However, having a family history does give you a greater risk at having it. And as the first answerer said, it isn't common in teenagers, but it can happen.

Fatigue in diabetics is caused by high blood sugar. Here's the science of it: When you are diabetic, the cells in your body can't absorb the sugar either b/c you don't make any insulin or your body doesn't use the insulin efficiently. Insulin is the catalyst that allows your cells to absorb the sugar. What makes you tired is that the cells that aren't absorbing the sugar are starving from the lack of sugar and they put off toxins called Ketones. You can test the amount of Ketones your spilling by testing your urine.

I don't think diabetes has to do with calf and shoulder pain. There is pain associated with diabetics called neuropathy but that is mostly in your hands and feet. The only natural supplement that has worked for me helped with my blood sugar is Cinnamon capsules.
