starlight_940 asked: I’m 33 weeks pregnant and was recently diagnosed with a touch of gestational diabetes. I am no longer allowed to have more than 15g of carbs for breakfast before 10:00 am. So I have been reduced to some fruit and a glass of milk or yogurt for breakfast. Prior, I was a milk and cereal, muffins, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, and toast eater for breakfast. Now I am starving again after I’ve been at work for an hour with this reduced carb breakfast. It’s hard to have the energy I need to keep up at work when I haven’t had a filling breakfast. I start at 8:00 and I don’t get my lunchbreak until 1:00 usually. I can bring a snack to tie me over until lunch, but I still can’t even eat that until after 10. So do you have any good ideas of foods that will fill me up better but still be within the 15g of carbs guideline?

Skipper asked: I have low blood sugar but recently I looked up symptoms of diabetes and I have:
Blurry Vision
Fatigue
Irritation
Increase hunger

Even if I don’t have diabetes, how does it explain my blurry vision? Can low blood sugar lead to diabetes?

guts_spunk_moxie asked: I have diabetes (newly diagnosed, but apparently I have had it fo a while and didn’t know it according to my doctor) and my hair keeps falling out near the crown and in the back, causing thin spots.
Someone told me that this can be a symptomatic cause from having diabetes. Is this true and if so; why?

britmcclain asked: Lately I’ve found myself ********* quite oftem, very thristy, and feeling very nauseated when I have eaten something in a few hours. Could this possibly be symptons of diabetes?
Diabetes does run in the family and I just found out that two more realitives were diagnosed. They are much older though, I’m only 23. I’m hoping that I am just being paranoid.
What are the symptoms and what can I do to make sure I don’t get them if at all possible?

My Dad has diabetes and all he does is sleep in bed all day everyday. He needs help to go to the toilet and changes his mood every second. His eyes always get swollen and he is super thin! I don’t know what food to make for him since he can’t have oil, fat, and fried foods! I don’t know what to do!

Barlow asked: Right now I’m sort of seeing the man I hope to marry and the other day we brought up the subject of babies. We discussing that there may be a high risk if we had children that one of our babies would have diabetes. Diabetes runs in my family and I believe it runs in his. He is a diabetic and I’m not. We figure we are in a very high risk category, but since at this time we’re not married or planning to have kids yet we haven’t asked a doctor. We would both like your opinions and answers.

Yo… asked: Hi everyone.
My boss just found out her 16 year old daughter has type 1 diabetes. We were all very sad to hear the news. Apparently she will be taking medication everyday for the rest of her life and she has a strict diet to follow. What’s the difference between type 1 and type 2? Also, do people with diabetes have a tendency to be thin and lose a lot of weight because of their diet? Apparently before she was diagnosed, she lost 10 pounds within a month.
Thanks!

Cara asked: Diabetes runs very strong in my family. My grandmother had her leg amputated because of it and now my mother has it. Is there a good strict diet or eating plan out there so that I can lower my chances of getting it? Ive already started monitoring my blood sugar on a daily basis. Im only 21 and so its better to start young. I want a long, happy and healthy life.
